The Scariest Thing in the World: Change – The Woke Antenna

Desperation grips me! How much hate can we harbor in our hearts? How much hate festers within those who profess to champion unity? A new era dawns, bringing fresh morals, customs, and an order of things. Yet, hasn’t it always been thus? An old age inevitably clashes with the new, battling until both find themselves somewhere in the middle, only for the cycle to repeat as a new age emerges to contest the now old.

We support the so-called woke agenda, but even if we didn’t, we wouldn’t have the right to oppose it with vulgarity and hatred. Nothing good ever sprouts from hatred and vitriol. We all succumb to fearing the new and different. Why? What is it that unsettles us so deeply? Are we truly worried about the destruction of values, or are we simply afraid of losing our dominance? Here’s a reality check: the closer you get to the exit, the less control you have over the game. To control the game, you must be able to play.

Let’s allow everyone to live as they choose, as long as it doesn’t harm us, without hatred and division. At the very least, if we must hate something, let us be properly informed about what it is that we despise.

These are my not-so-cool thoughts after reading comments on social media regarding Nemo.

Note: I grew up with the phrase: “I don’t know if things will get better if they change, but for things to get better, they must change.
